10656 - Software Engineer I - -PurposeThis is an exciting
full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a
team of passionate technologists. We take an innovative approach to
supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment
using Connected Car and emerging technologies. We are looking for
an enthusiastic junior software developer to join our experienced
connectivity service development team. You will report directly to
the development manager and assist with all functions of software
coding and design. Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase
and assist in the development, issue/log analysis and QA
activities. To ensure success as a junior software developer, you
should have a good working knowledge of basic programming
languages, the ability to learn new technology quickly, and the
ability to work in a team environment. Ultimately, a top-class
Junior Software Developer provides valuable support to the design
team while continually improving their coding and design
skills.Essential FunctionsActivities related to Connectivity
Service Development and Operations includes, but not limited
to:
Understanding the product and writing
technical documents Develop simple application programs to support
the project requirement.Working on minor bug fixes/project
tasksUnit testing the application modules.Developing PoC to explore
the feasibility of new technologies. -Working with system analysis
team to understand the technical requirements and
documentingConducting development tests and helping QA team with
technical use cases.Supporting the development team with other team
coordination and follow up.Monitoring the technical performance of
internal systems.Responding to requests from the development
team.Supporting data analysis and reporting. Work with multiple
teams to complete the tasks assigned.Supporting production
deployment (Planned/Incidents)Please note this job description is

Bachelor's Degree in Computer
Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or
equivalent experience.A fast learner with the ability to learn new
software and technologies quickly with minimal guidance; Ability to
shorten learning curve in software development having little or no
prior knowledge and experience.Ability to follow instructions and
work in a team environment.Knowledge of basic coding languages like
Java, C++Knowledge in developing REST webservices using Spring
frameworkKnowledge of database, operating systems, Web/Application
serversGood knowledge of software frameworks.Knowledge of Software
Development Lifecycle (SDLC);Understanding of test processes and
agile development methodologiesImpeccable time management with the
ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment.Ability to handle
multiple assignments under tight deadlines.Ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams.Well organized with ability
to pay close attention to details. Excellent oral and written
communication skills; Impeccable interpersonal skillsCuriosity and
solution-oriented mindsetExcellent analytical skillsNice to have:
Demonstrated expertise interfacing
with business stakeholders is a plus.Working experience with a
major consulting company is a plus.Around 1 year of software
development experience/knowledge Understanding of server and client
APIs and writing API test scripts;Ability to root cause software
