The Director, Ambulatory Nursing Services is responsible forthe leadership oversight of the professional nursing/back office practice modeland interdisciplinary care models for patient care within MemorialCare MedicalGroup. Serves as the liaison betweenclinical staff, management and other departments with a focus on improving careteam efficiencies and the patient experience by maximizing the role of eachmember of the care team. Providesguidance to senior leadership and physician leadership for establishing,implementing, evaluating and improving approaches to patient care, workflows,practice standards and policies and procedures.--Researches and stays abreast of changes in the health care industry to improvepatient care and adherence to local, state and federal regulations. Develops and maintains policies, proceduresand standard work that provide efficient and patient-centric care along withadherence to local, state and federal regulations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs, implements and revise standards of practice of the RN, LVN, MA and ancillary clinical roles for the medical group. Ensures medical group and all team members meet established local, state and federal legislation and regulatory requirements. Stays abreast of changes in state and federal regulations and anticipates and responds accordingly.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive performance improvement program which maintains consistent nursing and ancillary clinical practices ensuring the highest standard of care. Develop, implement and maintain program, to the highest standard of care ensuring a patient centric approach.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of current practice standards and workflows. Establishes, implements and maintains workflows, practice standards and policies and procedures to support all specialties within the medical group. Assist with evaluating and maintaining a staffing model that meets the standards of practice for the medical group.
  • Develops, implement and maintain a clinical orientation program to train new employees to their job responsibilities ensuring
  • all care teams are practicing to the highest level of scope/licensure and experience. Develops, implement and maintain clinical program for all established employees that allows for ongoing growth and development and creates a patient centric approach to ambulatory care.
  • Facilitates interdisciplinary communication of pertinent information to clinical care teams and physicians regarding patient
  • Represents the ambulatory nursing perspective at all levels of the Foundation, sharing best practices and resources. Education/Licensure: BSN RN degree required. Master's degree in health related field strongly preferred.
    • Current state of California registered nurse licensure
    • Current BCLS Experience: Five or more years of relevant clinical, management and/or progressive leadership experience, preferably in an integrated care delivery system. Knowledge: Program planning, design, implementation and evaluation methodology Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, measures and clinical standards
      • Familiarity with lean methodology and mindset Familiarity with research methods and evidence based practice Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clinical nursing scope of practice Special Skills/Equipment: Ability to establish collaborative relationships with clinical staff, physicians, management, senior leadership and other key stakeholders Advanced group facilitation, organizational development and financial management skills Please set your category and location selections prior to submitting.
