Job Description:

We are a prominent and growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Newport Beach, California. We are seeking a motivated personal injury case manager to join our team. A personal injury case manager is responsible for overseeing the progress of personal injury cases and ensuring that the clients receive the best possible representation.--The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a detail-oriented approach to their work.--This position is onsite but is available remotely for those candidates that live at least 70 miles away from our main office in Newport Beach.

Responsibilities:

--- Advise attorneys with cost and time-effective recommendations to accomplish the client's goals
--- Maintain and organize all case files, and information with regard to engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with firm policies
--- Create legal documents for attorney review
--- Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements
--- Collaborate with outside vendors, staff, and attorneys, to manage the law firm's case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met
--- Open claims with insurance companies and request health insurance liens
--- Handle property damage claims
--- Gather and organize relevant documentation, such as medical records, police reports and witness statements

Qualifications:

--- Extensive experience conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents is essential
--- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but a 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable - High school diploma is required
--- Comfortable with computer programs, such as spreadsheet presentation, word processing, and case management software
--- Previous case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency
--- Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated
--- A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury case management, with a strong track record of managing cases effectively
--- Highly motivated with a professional demeanor
--- Quick learner
--- Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of cases
--- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other legal software
--- Bilingual in Spanish
