Job Description:

The manager role is within the Market Sensing and Research department at Hyundai Motor America but supports both the Hyundai and Genesis brands.

Vehicle Positioning Strategies
- Develops, socializes and leads efforts related to positioning strategies for new vehicle launches including creating a consumer target, identifying unique selling points, and crystalizing the product essence.
- Responsible for conducting positioning research that is used to develop the vehicle positioning strategy.
- Ensure strategy alignment across all relevant divisions (Product Planning, Marketing, Sales and Service).
- Work collaboratively with Marketing and agency to develop and execute strategy.
- Present research and strategy recommendations to top level executives at critical milestones.

Market and Consumer Insights
- Lead market research projects on various topics related to advanced concepts, new transportation/mobility solutions, new in-vehicle technology, post-launch of new models (e.g., Early Buyer studies), and other custom consumer research projects.
- Core project responsibilities include vendor management, determining best research methodologies, screener and survey development, ensuring projects are hitting milestones on-time, keeping projects within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (including executives) to design research to produce meaningful and high impact business implications.
- Analyze complex data sources and information to find patterns in data to "tell a story" about the research results that has business implications to the respective client groups.
- Create and present research results to a large stakeholder audience including senior-level executives. Typical presentations will include 50+ attendees.
- Analyze primary and secondary research findings to advocate the voice of the customer and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Manage various syndicated research studies.
- Leverage data analysis tools such as SPSS and mTAB to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.

Trends Champion
- The lead Trends Champion at Hyundai and Genesis and responsible for championing and socializing macro consumer trends through various divisions and help uncover implications to the business. Requires an innate curiosity about consumer trends and mindsets and their influence on strategic product, marketing, and branding decisions.
