Come be a part of our mission! Payload & Ground Systems in Azusa,
CA is seeking a Engineer Test/Principal Engineer Test (Level 2/3)
to support our environmental test engineering group. This role will
report on-site daily to our Azusa, CA campus. Job Duties:
Responsible for efficiency and organization of Test Engineering
facilities and associated hardware / software equipment. Author
test procedures in coordination with program requirements. Conduct
and oversee execution of testing procedures on customer test
articles per work instructions and training procedures. Complete
technical reports, test results, and all required documentation for
thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, and other environmental
test related efforts. Complete test readiness reviews
(TRR’S)/CTP’s/CTB’s Coordinate testing programs and test equipment
use in cooperation with program management, test resources and
personnel. Oversee a regular maintenance schedule for all test
systems and associated equipment. Draft basic mechanical and
electrical drawings. Designs, supports, improves and tests moderate
to high complexity test systems and equipment. Ensures design meets
functional and reliability criteria. Oversee and direct test

Employee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is a
9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field & 2 years of
related technical test engineering experience, OR a Master's degree
in a STEM field. Solid understanding of programing with LabView
embedded systems. Previous experience designing test automation and
industrial controls system Develop process and instrumentation
diagrams (p&id), controls narratives and testing protocols for
new and existing systems. Basic understanding of network systems
Solid understanding of analog and digital test equipment and
circuitry During testing, the ability to work extended hours and
off shifts Demonstrated experiences of good electronic abilities
and background. Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret level
clearance (US Citizenship Required) Experience operating
electromechanical systems and Thermal cycle/ thermal vacuum
chambers Experience in Space industry standards such as Acceptance,
Functional and Qualification Testing Experience with designing
fixtures utilizing lab equipment, instrumentation, and HW/SW
interfaces. Experience troubleshooting and performing technical
analysis on electrical, mechanical or software anomalies issues
relating to test equipment Demonstrated experience working
alongside teams of engineers and technicians while providing
training, instruction, goals, and motivation. Ability to create and
establish project goals and execute objectives with minimum
supervision Experience working in an agile & lean environment
Experience working with a cross functional engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with NI hardware such
as PXIe & cRIO. Experience programming FPGAs Experience setting up
applications using Atlassian tools and Power Automate Experience
with software V&V and version control Basic knowledge of fluid
mechanics and heat transfer Current & active DoD security clearance
Experience working with high powered AC & DC control systems
Experience Working in a ISO controlled cleanroom Experience working
with Cryogenic fluids and gaseous pressure systems. Primary Level
Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00 Secondary Level Salary
Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00 The above salary range represents
a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number
of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope
and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid
