Job Description:
A company is looking for a Principal AV Safety Engineer focused
on SOTIF and Human Factors.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and assess hazards related to human factors in automated
driving systems and develop mitigation strategies
Perform risk assessments and support safety analysis for human
interfaces, ensuring usability and minimizing human error
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop safety requirements
and support safety audit programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Human Factors
Engineering, Psychology, Safety, or System Engineering
10+ years of experience in human factors engineering, engineering
test, or systems engineering
Experience with hazard analysis techniques such as System Theoretic
Process Analysis (STPA)
Real-time operations experience on complex systems with high
failure consequences
Proven ability to influence continuous improvement for systems
safety
