Job Description:

Single Source Technologies, representing Makino as well as other high end machine tool products, is a single-source provider of machine tools, engineering services, tooling, supplies, application support and customer service throughout North America.The Opportunity--Applications Engineers provide pre-sales and post-sales support to target companies in--an assigned region, resulting in target market penetration and high customer satisfaction.-- This is a Salaried position with paid overtime.-- --Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support turnkey/sharekey requirements being delivered.
• Visit customers in need of AE assistance.--
• Work with Makino and complementary OEM product line applications, service, and sales team to identify all current applications engineering needs.
• Perform post sale start-up support for customers in area of part processing, programming, process setup, optimization and operator training.
• Coordinate and/or perform training at customer site or Makino/SST sites.
• Assist Field Service Engineers with customer machine issues.
• Ability to manipulate Programming software, modeling software, and MS Project
• Support sales territory for pre-sale technical requirements including time estimates, test cuts and technical discussions.
• Maintaining showroom machines in demonstration ready condition
• Assist Customer Support in the installation/de-installation process as required.Education and Experience
  • Degree in a manufacturing engineering, material science or related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
  • Technical knowledge and logical troubleshooting skills.
  • Rational decision-making skills and good negotiation skills.
  • Application and operational knowledge of CNC equipment.
  • Ability to explain to the customer Makino's processing technology.
  • Detailed knowledge of CNC part programming preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
