What we do:
The Lead Project Engineer supports the Chief Engineer on defined,
high priority Engineering Research & Development (ER&D)
projects such as Technology Demonstrator, Prototype, etc. and
ensures progress. The position collaborates closely with the Chief
Engineer, Subject Matter Experts, Engineering Heads, as well as the
Program Management Organization.
What you can do:
- Assists Chief Engineer with the completion of engineering
projects
- Assigns responsibilities and builds schedules based on project
specifications
- Recommends plan and schedule changes, and reports progress to
management
- Accountable for aggregate technical team, engineering plan and
execution, and performance to plan
- Implements program plans to conform to technical performance,
cost, and schedule commitments
- Coordinate and drive engineering tasks and actions to closure
in a timely fashion
- Organizes all engineering work to support the project
Integrated Master Schedule (IMS):
- Assist in the management and execution of the IMS
- Lead development of engineering inputs to program IMS
- Provide day-to-day prioritization of tasks in accordance with
schedule
- Work with Program Management to update engineering personnel
estimation
- Accountable for engineering tasks, budget, schedule, and
performance
- Track and report engineering progress
- Travel Expectations: 10-20%
- Other duties as required What you can contribute:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical
field
- A minimum of 10 years of engineering related experience,
examples: power electronics, vehicles drive train, energy storage,
mechanisms, structures, and flight sciences, etc. (an equivalent
combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Demonstrates broad technical expertise and application of
engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with
significant experience in project leadership
- Strong skills in project management, leadership, communication,
systems engineering, and engineering technical subject areas
- General knowledge and understanding of systems engineering
processes, flow down of system requirements, system architecture
and the interaction of system and subsystem requirements
- Understanding of system verification and validation to ensure
the final products conform to the stated requirements
- Strong digital literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office, Project,
Atlassian) and strong communication, presentation, and
interpersonal skills
- Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach; formulates
plans based on the development of innovative new designs in
resolving advanced technical engineering problems
- Proven ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and
coordinate workloads of technical team to meet established
deadlines or achievements
- Desire to work in a fast-paced testing environment
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality You may also be

- Master's degree preferred
- Experience with Product Life Cycle Management, PLM (e.g., 3DX),
requirements (e.g. DOORS), and Model Based Systems Engineering,

The pay range for this position is:
$192,400 $289,120 USD
