Job Description10360 – SR. APPLICATION ENGINEER SUMMARYProvide operations support encompassing Incidents, documenting Root-Cause-Analysis and follow-up on identified actions. Collaborate with team and business owners to understand requirements. Research and propose innovative solutions to complex problems. Strong collaboration with peers and support vendors and continuously improve architecture and designs and development process. Provide support and maintenance for existing applications for defect fixes and new enhancements. Document code and technical designs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work with developers, architect business units, and 3rd party vendors to maintain and enhance the code and systems for myHyundai.com, Blue Link and related systems and services
• Should be hands-on to support development, Triage and Trouble-shoot issues encompassing integration and back-end systems.
• Oversee release management policies, processes, and procedures
• Oversee QA policies, processes, and procedures
• Respond to production incident Teams and effectively work problem management activities
• Manage department level tasks within both internal and external groups
• Communicate operational status and tasks to Sr. management, stakeholders, and external HQ clients in Korea
• Develop and participate in operation process and/or product testing
• Document and maintain system diagrams, including physical, logical and network/application architecture
• Facilitate the initiation of key strategic infrastructure initiatives and recommend modifications as appropriate
• Collaborate with business and senior management to define operational requirements and gain consensus
• Evaluate the potential impact of system modifications or enhancementsREQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat Web Server 7 and above
  • Experience in implementing SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), RESTful and SOAP Web Services
  • Strong experience with OOPS concepts with complete software development life cycle experience
  • Prior experience in Telematics domain is preferred
  • Experience on REACT based development is preferred
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies, using Rally along with Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • 10 year experience in design and development of various enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, JDBC, AngularJS/6, AJAX, JMS, XML, XSD/DTD,XSL/XSLT
  • Hands on experience in developing numerous multi-tier Java/J2EE with different Open Source technologies and Frameworks - Spring MVC and IOC, Spring Boot, Presentation Tier components (JSP, Servlets, JSTL, Struts, Tiles, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and DHTML), Resource Tier components (JDBC) and Persistent Object Components using iBatis/myBatis and DAO, SQL, Oracle 19/18/12 under UNIX and Windows NT/XP.
  • Used J2EE and Java design patterns like Model View Controller (Struts MVC and Spring MVC), Business Delegate, Session Façade, Service Locator, Data Value Objects, Data Access Objects, Singleton and Factory Patterns
  • Experienced with RDBMS implementation, support and development using Oracle 19/18/12 PL/SQL, DB2 UDB and Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience using Redis and Kafka is a plus.
  • Capability to work under stressful situations, following the stipulations of the organization. Able to work individually and also as part of a team, has the ability to work on new technologies and new projects with short ramp up time.
  • Experienced with Version Control & Release Management (Jenkins Etc)
  • Experience in Realtime Application monitoring tools (RPM) Tools like Dyna Trace / App dynamics / solar winds etc
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies, using Rally along with Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Good knowledge of Network/load balance layer and infrastructure.
  • High-level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.
