Job Description Job Description Estimator Estimator Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare cost estimates for commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that all projected costs are accurate, competitive, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Review project plans and specifications to accurately determine the scope of work and estimate costs. Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial, retail, and hospitality projects, ensuring all aspects are covered. Collaborate with project managers and architects to clarify project specifications and requirements. Analyze and compare vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and quality of materials. Assist in the preparation of change orders and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information). Utilize estimating software such as Procore and Accubid to streamline the estimating process. Provide support to the project team during the construction phase and help resolve any cost-related issues. Mentor junior estimators and share best practices in estimating and project management. Qualifications Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors. Ability to bid 2-3 projects in parallel, ranging up to 6M, as well as bid larger projects, ranging up to 20M. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs. Familiarity with estimating software including Procore and Accubid is a plus. Experience in handling change orders and RFIs. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Experience as a Sr. Estimator or in self-performing work is preferred. Knowledge of gas station construction processes is a plus.
