Continuous and healthy growth requires qualified and motivated employees in all departments. We currently have an opening near Irvine, California for a CONTROLLER (**not a remote position**).

The Controller is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, regulatory and reporting activities, including evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, communication and leadership ability. The ideal individual for this role should be able to motivate others by maintaining a positive professional attitude; exhibit integrity, reliability and leadership; and is capable of providing exceptional client services by managing self and others by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality and accountability. This position will report directly to the Director of Finance and the General Manager, with a dotted line to the CFO/COO.

Minimum Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic financial business partner to the Senior Management & Executive Team.
Ability to provide strong financial control and support to the senior management team.
Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
Manage and assist with company finances including tax, revenue, cash flow, expenses, reports and ongoing financial reporting:
Prepare and publish in a timely manner the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statement reporting package, including income statement and balance sheet analyses, and various management reports.
Assist with A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate with external accountants for income tax preparation.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Support and manage annual audits and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
High-level financial reporting and analysis.
Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Negotiation and management of business insurances.
Must respond positively to challenges and embrace a hands-on, fast paced environment.
Agile manager with demonstrated abilities to influence at all levels within the business and make decisions.
Manage staff of 2.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Required Education and Qualifications:
BA in Accounting or Finance required.
8+years progressive accounting and finance experience
CPA or CMA preferred.
Knowledge of inventory/lot # and sales commission from medical device, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or similar industries .
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including US GAAP, Sunshine Act, FDA, etc.
Possession of strong analytical skills and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is a must.
Current or prior experience in leadership roles in a rapidly growing company is a strong plus.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, including a management style that effectively leads professional subordinates - delegating responsibility, but not accountability.
Strong computer skills, especially Advance Proficiency with Excel.
Current or prior experience directly managing accounting staff.
Medical device industry experience preferred.
